I once again had the pleasure of working with the United Nations Association in Canada (UNA-Canada) for a luncheon at Calgary’s Fairmont Palliser with Helen Clark, former Prime Minister of New Zealand and currently Administer of the United Nations Development Programme.
I’ve previously worked with UNA-Canada at events such as United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon’s speech in Ottawa, a gala in Calgary honouring former Premier of Alberta Peter Lougheed, and CANIMUN, the Canadian International Model United Nations in Edmonton.
For this shoot, I was invited to document a closed session meeting of Ms. Clark with a number of Calgary’s business and political leaders, shoot photos during her radio interview with Anna Maria Tremonti of CBC’s The Current (which you can listen to at http://www.cbc.ca/thecurrent/episode/2013/03/14/web-exlusive-undp-administrator-helen-clark/), and capture photos of the speakers and VIPs at the luncheon, including Calgary mayor Naheed Nenshi.
On Friday, March 15, 2013, the National Post, one of Canada’s two large national newspapers, published one of my photos in the Financial Post section on page FP6.
